Divine unto Flesh

Roberto Ferruzzi - Madonnina

Divine
unto flesh,
the infant breathes.
Vulnerable
at birth as at death,
from manger to cross.

Divine
unto the earth,
coming as a promise.
Vulnerable
to worldly kings,
who know not His name.

Divine
unto flesh,
the infant stirs.
Vulnerable
to a choice made
before time began.
