  And Paul says to Timothy, What did you bring into the world? Nothing! What can you take out of the world? Nothing! And we strive for more when we have everything we need. We work until our fingers have been made raw and worry about obtaining more than we have already been given. Wealth of coinage brings temptation and heartache. Those who desire trinkets of silver and gold are led to the world's truth, not God's We sacrifice relationships for careers. We ignore the urgent prayer in our souls which longs to be heard. Temptation

Leave me, or at least keep your distance. I have to go about business which shall not be tainted by you. You offer cocktails of doubt, greed and lust, enticing me to forego prayer and words of scripture. Leave me, burn with the rest of your kind. Be like the weeds in the fire, the chaff on the wind. You offer what I don't really need. You mask your gifts with false ideals, doubt appears to be understanding, greed, monetary need, lust, love. Leave me, take your kingdoms, palaces and stones back into the darkness. The Desert

Christ in the Wilderness - Ivan Kramskoy He went into the desert, led by the Spirit, quietly and alone.  Into the wilderness, the domain of stones and sand, where water is scarce and food is dust.  He would thirst and hunger... And prayer would be on His tongue. He held no roll of papyrus covered with symbols forming the words of His father.  Every thought of the Almighty was engraved on His heart, for His father's thoughts were His thoughts. Listen to His meditation and prayer.  It is all around us, when we allow ourselves to step into the solitude found in the wilderness.  We breathe the air, feel the sun bake our flesh, gaze into an unblemished sky.  In the solitude of the wilderness we feel the touch of God. He conversed with His father and found strength in the conversation.
