I Need You

I need you.

I need to see your face,

reminding me

that the follies of this world,

full of momentary pleasures,

are temporary.

I need you.

I need to hear your voice,

speaking of the kingdom,

the one you offered to this world

when you came searching

for your sheep.

I need you.

I need the embrace of your arms,

holding me dispute blemishes,

repulsive,

loving me dispute the stains of my iniquity,

and desiring me in all my wretchedness.
